Littleton Tennis Club is open to all members of the public. We have a rich history stretching back to the 1920s and in recent years, owing the efforts of the committee, we have established ourselves on the Hampshire tennis circuit, hosting matches and competitions.

We have 6 fine tarmac courts, 2 of which are set slightly apart from the others and are equipped with floodlights. We currently have three mix-ins available, depending on the standard of the players:

Our Saturday morning (10-12) mix-in is for "intermediate" players
Our Sunday afternoon (2-4) mix-in is for anybody as it is a "social" mix-n
Our Thursday evening (7-9) mix-in is for "team standard" players

So there is something for all adult players and the juniors have their own mix-in and fun time on Friday evenings (5-8) during term time organised by our coach, Chris Hughes.

Littleton takes part in matches throughout the year although most frequently during the late spring and all summer months.

New members are given a golden oportunity when joining the club of a free half hour coaching session with the coach. Find out more about further coaching and about the coach's skills and drills group coaching. If you are not sure of your standard, the coach will be best placed to advise you once you have taken up this offer.

Are you interested in joining our tennis club? You are very welcome to try us as a visitor before you make up your mind. If you would like some more information, or would like to be introduced to the club and its facilities, please contact any member of the committee.

Our next fun tournament will be on  27 May 2012 at 14:00 with subsequent ones on the last Sunday of every other month.

The format will be the usual mix-up where nobody will ever play with or against the same people for a set number of matches. Handicap rules will apply.

It's £2 per entry, no prizes just good clean fun! Cup of tea and biscuits after (and possibly an open bar if the demand is there!!). Balls are provided.

The events are open to everyone, social players, team players and juniors providing you can hold a tennis racquet.

You don't need to let us know if you wish to play; but you will have to get to the courts promptly at 2:00pm or you won't get a team number.

So please mark Sunday 27th May, 2:00pm into your diaries for the next of the bimonthly fun tournaments!

 Huge thanks to Sue and Les Brown for getting this tournament off the ground and doing all the hard work, leaving the 20 other competitors to thoroughly enjoy this handicapped event. The weather was just perfect and the humour was likewise. 

The team-standard mix-in officially starts at 7pm on Thursdays.

Due to the valiant efforts of our IT gurus Andy T and Chris S, you can tell other players that you are going to turn up at the mix-in, and have a peek at who else is coming along to the mix-in before you set off from home!

HOW TO SIGN IN:

1.  Click on this link:  https://www.google.com/calendar

2.  In the Email box type:  littletonteam@gmail.com 

3.  In the Password box type in the password you have been emailed

4.  If you don't have the Password to hand call Andy Thomsen on 01962 733699

5.  Un-tick the "Stay signed in" check box

6.  Click the "Sign in" button

HOW ADD YOUR NAME:

7.  You should now see the Google Calendar

8.  Look for the box at 18:00 on Thursday and click on it

9.  This opens another window where you can enter your name

10. Have a look near the top on the left hand side and you will see "Team Mixin - " followed by the names of people who have already added themselves.

11. Add your name to the end of the list

HOW TO ADD A COMMENT OR NOTE:

12. Further down on this page there is a box labled "Description".   You can add a note in here if you wish.  Like "Chris Stone will arrive at about 7:30" for example   

HOW TO SAVE:

13.  Click the "save" button at the top left, just above where you added your name.

14.  This will bring you back to the calendar.  Click on "Sign out" at the top right to quit out of the calendar.

Please get into the habit of getting your name down each week to encourage others to make the trip to come along.
